A member of my bird group posted her sighting. Lives on east side of province (Saskatchewan) where tree line meets with the grasslands. Called the ‘Parkland’ region it contains many deciduous trees, such as the Manitoba Maple, which has been leaking sap for a couple weeks now. I believe they are using the sap as a food source until the grassland region begins to flower at which time they’ll move west from the Parkland region across Saskatchewan and into Alberta.
