The wait is over. At 8 a.m. we saw our first ruby throat of the year. He materialized in miraculous hummingbird fashion on the feeder by the kitchen window. Throughout the day he (or his friends and rivals) continued to come to the feeders around the garden. Children and grandchildren of our earliest summer resident over a decade ago?
