I think we finally have a returning resident male. The one I reported on April 24 didn’t appear to stay, and we had only a few, sporadic sightings in the following two or three days. Then no activity that we could see until yesterday afternoon. He fed repeatedly from the two feeders that we were watching, perching in between feedings in the nearby favorite Hinoki cypress. He’s back today (5/3), drinking enthusiastically from the same two feeders. So happy to have him back with us!
