Today we visited our garden. We noticed that 16 of our 24 bulbs have bloomed. We did plant a few experimental bulbs and some of those bulbs also bloomed. Today it was 73 degrees and sunny with a light breeze. Our garden is located in a courtyard outside our classroom. Because of this we noticed a microclimate effect. The bulbs closer to the school building have bloomed earlier than those that are further away from the school. In Minnesota we had a very cold winter with record snowfall. Therefore, it was exciting to finally have a nice warm day and to see that our tulips have started to bloom.
