Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/03/2022

Number: 1

My Mom saw the 1st hummingbird of 2022 on May 3rd at 2:30PM. It sat at O.H.A.F.2 in P2 (one of my custom feeders) for a good drink she said. Mom saw a hummingbird again at 6:45PM and 7:09PM.

On Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, (WHOO HOO! STAR WARS Day 3 years in a row!!!) I began my day with a sighting of Cedar Wax Wings at 7:46AM in my South-West Black Walnut tree. I haven't seen then in my yard in ages it seems. We used to have them all the time back when our City Ash was in the back yard. Mom saw a hummer near the feeder leaving off to the east at 9:37AM. She saw another hummer near the feeder at 3:18PM. And finally, I got to see MY first hummingbird of the 2022 Hummbirding Season at 8:25PM. It was a male and he stopped at my O.H.A.F.2 in P2 for a fly-feed, then left off to the east.
