At 7:30 am my wife Jean saw our first ruby throated hummingbird of the year! It was a male. It was feeding on a large hanging basket filled with a large cigar (cuphea) plant that we just bought a day ago! It also drank clear nectar for a long time from our hummingbird feeder.
