Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 05/09/2023

Number: 1

I'm not believing we are still getting a new, very people friendly male rubythroat this morning. It never fails in that first thing at 7 a.m.
A new hummingbird pops down to the Angel wings fuschia hanging basket attracting them right off. Then he went straight back out to Indian shot canna, zoomed back to Honeysuckle 'Drop more Scarlet, white, and coral honeysuckle,' coral, and peach porterweeds. This one is nectaring normal not left to right straight line like previous male.

Male rubythroat has gone to 3 different feeders hung up on patio/pergola area. I think he's doing the check feeders to see if another one is here to fight him off.  Time will tell if a female is the reason.
Photo is of the replaced rusted out metal port flowers with plastic red JB flower ports.

We are now in rain storm mode and he came to high view feeder between rains. Storms all this week.
