This Monarch was spotted flying low through my yard, heading north through open woods. It flew quickly, not giving me a chance to snap a pic. Couldn't tell what gender it was. I have to wonder if this was a released butterfly, due to how early this sighting is.This one was spotted at 12:30 p.m., sunny, 75 degrees F, wind at 9mph out of the south. Very small milkweed plants are visible in my yard. Currently, I have lots of planted flowers and flowering trees and bushes.
