Today we counted 24 larva on the same plants as reported on last week. The wasps have found them but most are moving to the ground and venturing off to form their chrysalis on the adjacent grassy plants (so there were likely many more than we counted). We also saw (7) chrysalides and (8) adult monarchs. It was 80 degrees and clear. We didn't see any other larva in this general location (1 large blocK). The showy milkweed is coming up now but the tropical milkweed is slow to show new growth.
