Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 05/18/2023

Number: 6

Morning started with 36 degrees. This is my “Early Bird.” She appeared at daylight.

2 boys and 4 girls this morning.

All guests are spending a lot of time enjoying natural nectar from blossoms in trees and ground covers, also perennial Dicentra Luxuriant.

Other perennials are starting to emerge from the ground and leaves.

It’s still too chilly in this part of Michigan for the traditional annuals, such as Salvias, cuphea, Lantana, or impatients. It will be a few weeks before the pots are filled; and temperatures are warm enough for annuals to thrive.

Happy Spring, happy everything from the forest.
