We had a female laying eggs here 4/19/23-4/27/23. I brought in the eggs that I could safely retrieve to rear them. Some eggs were laid too close to the ground on the main stem of the common milkweed plants so I left them out on the plant. The ones that I retrieved have been pupating over the last week and some are still caterpillars. This is the first caterpillar I have seen outside on our milkweed this year.
