I've been out of town for a few days, down in McDonough, GA, helping my Mom plant her garden. She has 4 hummingbird feeders out and while down there, I saw several zipping around, visiting the feeders. While planting, I heard them all around me. I planted a Major Wheeler's honeysuckle and nearly just as soon as I had walked away with my shovel, an adult male Ruby was checking it out.

Since I've been back home here in NC, I saw one of our female Rubies, definitely a nesting mama, at one of our Major Wheeler's honeysuckle yesterday afternoon. And early this morning, at 6am, as I was outside swapping out feeders for fresh ones, I encountered 2 of our adult male Rubies at feeders. We currently have 6 feeders out. By mid July, we add 3 more.
