My wife Jean saw our first giant swallowtail butterfly of the year today! My wife took a picture of it sitting on our lantana flower-filled basket. This is the earliest we have seen a giant swallowtail in the 15 years we have lived here! We usually don’t see one until late summer or early fall!! You will have to zoom in on the picture to see the giant swallowtail closer and in detail. It is sitting on the left side of the basket of lantana’s.
