I identified the unique call of the Carolina wren in my backyard about noon. I followed the direction of the sound & was able to photograph them as well.

I feel fortunate to have seen & heard this bird as the map showing where they are typically found does not include my area of mid Michigan.

The photo is not the greatest as I took it with iPhone abt 15 ft away. Yet you can still see the white stripe across its head if you look closely.
