A female ruby throat drinking at my feeder, quickly joined by a male. They chittered at each other, then flew off, the female to a near-by basswood tree. The male proceeded to fly a series of 6-8 parabolic arcs, about 12 feet from the top of the U to the bottom. Very fast flying!
This happened again about two hours later, from the same feeder. I believe it was the same pair, but couldn't be certain.
