A little after 1:00 pm, I saw a male ruby-throated hummingbird nectaring from large purple field clover blooms. He and the bumblebee were going from flower to flower. He paused to perch on a weed stalk so I could take his picture. Warm and sunny, 87 F with a very slight breeze.
