During my August 2022 visit to Acadia National park a retired educator brought my attention to their butterfly garden and educated me on the Monarch Butterfly. I purchased and planted this milkweed plant in the fall of 2022. The wooden stake with the pink ribbon is to make sure this prize plant does not get chopped down by the weed-eater. I was very excited to see this little guy when I arrived home today!
