Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 06/01/2023

Number: 1

Nice sunny day and pretty warm, the high was 90 degrees here in Irving, TX.

I've been seeing hummingbirds since April this year. For the first month I was seeing three, two females and one male. They were doing a lot of chasing each other, then the male moved on.

This little hummingbird was nice enough to pollinate my tomato plants and then it sat on the tomato cage for the perfect picture, but choose to share this picture.

I have Black Blue Sage, Red Pentas, Tall Mexican Petunia's and Red Mandavilla's in bloom for them and 2 tiny little feeders that might hold 3 tablespoons of sugar water and they love the feeders. I can afford to change them as often as I want since they are so tiny.
