A fresh female Monarch was nectaring on Phlox glaberrima when a male flew in and mated. I had released captive reared Monarchs about 1/2 hour earlier as well as the day before where the female was nectaring so suspect she was captive reared. The male flew in from an adjacent farm field and was faded so probably wasn't one of my captive reared Monarchs.
