Seeing our resident adult males regularly throughout the day patrolling and chasing one another, as well as feeding from feeders and flowers. Our mama birds are still nesting and are sporadically seen at feeders and flowers. I believe we have at least 3 adult males; it's impossible to tell how many adult females we have at this point. I'm surprised that we're not seeing babies yet. Perhaps, as another JN contributor and friend, Beverly in Houston, suggested, it may be because the females got a late start nesting and incubating this year due to the prolonged cooler temps this spring.
