I have not seen any Monarchs at my home in Belmont, MI. I was at a cottage for 5 days on Lake Michigan shoreline. I checked about 45-50 milkweeds up and down an half mile road on the lakeshore and all plants but one were in perfect condition. No bites, no eggs, no activity, not even other bugs.
Usually this area is a bevy of monarch activity in between the lake and the sand dunes.
One plant had an inch of a gnawed line inward on the leaf but no eggs or caterpillars on plant.😟
Also in Belmont, MI where I live, I have not spotted any Monarchs flying yet.
