I have yet to see an adult this season.

I was looking at the few milkweed plants I have this year (I moved my patch last fall away from where neighbour was using herbicides so number of milkweed available is small) and observed the one egg. See picture for egg confirmation. I am pleased.

No fears, numbers of plants will dramatically increase with time.
