Fourth instars being raised outside in mesh container are from the only 3 eggs I've found so far this year. I've only seen one monarch at our property this year, even though our yard is loaded with milkweed. I was hoping 2022's lack of monarchs here was a fluke, but 2023 has been really disheartening so far. We are in a severe drought, and last year was also terribly dry, so I wonder if that is a factor.
