I was driving on a country road and saw many patches of Butterfly Milkweed along the side of the road. I stopped and the milkweed was covered with many different kinds of butterflies. I took many pictures. Two days later I returned to find that the ditches had all been mowed and the milkweed was all gone. I felt sick to my stomach.
