I'm posting this on behalf of my parents who live approx. 1 mile north of Marchand, MB on rural land of mixed forest and open grassland. One pristine adult Monarch Butterfly, was seen sunning on the topmost branch tip of a young spruce tree, in late afternoon; sunny hot day.
