We have >80 common milkweed plants in our field. We have 120 acres, mostly hardwoods. 2-4 acres we mow, 3-5 acres we leave as natural field. I have planted an additional 40 common milkweed plants with seeds from Vermont Wildflower company. I have only seen 2 monarchs this year and check the plants regularly for eggs/caterpillers.
