We monitor Monarchs on our small farm, which is surrounded by diminishing habitat. We raise sheep, so we need to remove milkweed from pastures. Any larvae we find when removing milkweeds from currently grazed areas are shifted onto other plants. Any eggs come indoors to rear, which are released as adults.
I've not recorded the dates of our first sightings in the past, but this feels very late in the season for our first sighting.
Thank you for collecting data and making it available.
