I spotted two monarchs at once for the first time this season here. In the early evening, a monarch was observed flying playfully over a grassy field then down into a small milkweed patch where it stayed for three minutes, then flew around the field again and back to the milkweed patch, then after a minute, two monarchs flew up out of the milkweeds playfully circling each other and out of sight together. In the attached snapshot they were flying quickly, are blurry and barely visible above the milkweeds.
