Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/21/2023

Number: 2

First 2 Monarch caterpillars of the year! An old female visited us on 6-9-23 laying eggs around our yard (we have several sps of milkweed). The 2nd caterpillar is a bit smaller. We are thrilled. June is NOT a month that we get Monarchs - too late for Spring when they are rare here, and way too early for their Fall movement south.
