I found these the day we returned home from vacation. There could be more, as I did not thoroughly check all the milkweed plants (which are now quite smashed from hail). Have not seen any Monarch butterflies yet. My milkweed garden is puny this year, but she deposited her eggs on about 8 small (less than a foot tall) plants. Because of a forecasted severe hail storm yesterday, I collected 10 of the eggs, and will rear them indoors. We have experienced unusually cool weather and record-setting amounts of rain.
