Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 06/25/2023

Number: 1

Female laying eggs around 10am on silky gold MW. It’s only 71 degrees in the shade, but much warmer in the sun. No wind. I’ve been out of town for almost two weeks now, so I’m not certain how long I’ve started getting visitors. Last year saw my first adult monarch mid-March. Two and three years ago it was mid-June. This is the latest arrival I’ve observed to date, and it’s probably due to very cold/cooler spring in six or seven years.
