These are two 1st instar monarch caterpillars munching on our common milkweed. There is a third one that is a little camera shy. We saved these three from the earwigs that are infesting the common milkweed flower buds during the day and eating caterpillars by night!

I am trying some soy sauce and olive oil mixture to give the earwigs a permanent bath tonight!
