Monarch, Captive-Reared

Date: 06/27/2023

Number: 8

Through the raging forest fires, smoke-filled air, torrential rain, hail, and high winds that we've had in Southern Ontario, a female Monarch still found her way to my yard and left me 8 eggs. They are safe indoors now, to be reared, then released. My spirits have been lifted, as their arrival was later this year, and with the environmental challenges, I was worried whether any would arrive.
