Number: 3

We released (1) female and (2) males on Milkweed flowers at our Church.
They are probably all siblings, one an egg found our yard on Memorial Day, next one the same size I found a week later... Those two went to Ohio and back with us as caterpillars, and we made sure they were safe and fed the whole time. :)
Then when we came home, a large caterpillar was on our plant. It was docile, but ate for a couple more days.
The first 2 hatched on 6/23 and 6/27, and the 3rd hatched yesterday.
Since I couldn't help any of them to mate, I released them all today.
The newest flew away over the church, and the girl and boy ate the milkweed flowers for hours. I was able to enjoy observing them. The girl really liked certain flowers! :) So sweet to observe!! She wasn't afraid of me since I hand-fed sugar water for a week in the house, hoping she'd be able to mate. :)
It's hard to let the "babies" go, but rewarding to know their history too! :)
