Conducted volunteer monarch surveys today for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Saw 4 total monarchs at three survey sites. Two sites were within the Wilkinson WMA and one site was on private property. The WMA Sites had diverse prairie flowers such as common milkweed, black eyed Susan, thistle, and rosinweed to name a few. The private property site was mainly reed canary grass with common milkweed sprinkled throughout.
