What an amazing site this is a newly fledged Ruby hummingbird. The poor little thing was just learning to fly.
It had to rest many times between trying to learn to sip nectar from this crocosima and keep its balance.
Notice all the tiny fizzy feathers what a little fluff ball. The nest couldn’t have been far with its limited flying skills.
