I hosted a contest at work, challenging anyone to spot a monarch before I did this season. Though their efforts were futile, I was still impressed at how many people were out looking and sharing Swallowtail, California Tortoiseshell, and Painted Lady photos.

Then last week "Bradon" was hiking with his brother at Oxbow park and shared with me his fuzzy photo of a monarch on showy milkweed.Good job!

I would be curious to know if this monarch followed the Hwy80 corridor more-less from California to Nevada?
