Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 06/24/2023

Number: 2

Casually still observing two or three adult monarchs flying each day, two at a time at most, usually low over the fields of extremely dry grass/wildflowers/common milkweed.

Based upon first adult sighted date, temperatures, and the late instar of the deceased larva (first larva observed report) today, I expect surviving larvae will begin emerging as the next gen adults during the first week of July.
