Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/01/2023

Number: 2

Still observing at least one or two adult monarchs several times daily the past week or so, often flying over milkweed patches. The welcome frequency of sightings here is much greater than last season, which was a very poor year.

The weather pattern of extreme dry, hot, drought seems to be improving and, with five-eighths inch of rain over the past seven days including today, the milkweed's flower buds are developing.
