After a cursory check of the A. speciosa plants growing next to the Bridge Canyon Overlook parking lot at Castlewood Canyon State Park, I found 3 eggs. These are the first eggs that have been reported this year at this park. Two of the eggs were on immature MW plants; the third was on a larger blooming MW. I sent an email to the park manager informing him of this find, and asking him to instruct staff not to mow, spray or dig the milkweed at this time.
