Still seeing our hummingbird flying about in this excessive heat index. Tried to find an open bud on inground red firebush Hamelia yesterday. It has taken 7 months for our firebush to come back from Dec freeze.

I see in reports juevenille Rufous. One reporter has a photo of a flared tail juvenile Rufous. I can see the hook on end of tail feather. I wish our hummingbird would sit so I could id what's here.
