Milkweed Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 07/13/2023

Hard to see but this area of grass has about 50 milkweed shoots. I remove them to cut grass and they just grow back. This is where my resident female likes to lay eggs, the shorter the plant the better, prefers 3 inches tall. I'm leaving the shoots from this point forward, they are loaded with eggs.I just hope my city doesn't tell me I have to.

The milkweed row a along the evergreens last year was 4 ft tall by this time, but has weird growth this year. We did have a month long drought.
