We recently opened up our barn after many years of it being empty and barn swallows moved in at the beginning of June. I am not sure of dates but we noticed nestlings at the beginning of June and the attached picture was taken on July 11 when they were learning to fly. The family of 2 parents and 5 young still spend the nights in the barn. I tried to get more pictures but they were all very upset by my presence so I didn't linger.
