Found one caterpillar and put it into a terrarium with two or three leaves. Surprise: found 10 more!

There are many predators, (earwigs, ants, wasps), in the area hunting and waiting to ambush them, so we are growing milkweed and keeping the caterpillars in a terrarium, doing our best to help the species propagate.
