Male small rubythroat was spotted againin kitchen window on feeder around 8:30 a.m. His tail feathers have grown longer and has a full red throat. He just flat is fast and cautious on feeder. In that he looks like another is going to come in to fight him off feeder. He gave up on feeder with rhe daily 7 a.m morning lizzard it looks like.

In regards to the nectar plants in this heat, we have again had to toss more potted Salvias. Those salvias are purple Loves and wishes, orange Buchananii.

Potted Vamillionaire, Rockin deep purple are doing great in afternoon shade. All potted porterweeds have to be watered 2×daily. Only blue porterweed is blooming.

I hope other JN nectar plants are making it better than ours. Just wonder why not many reports in Nectaring on flowers lately?
