Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 07/26/2023

Number: 30

This lazy hummingbird sits on the mesh fence to nectar on Agastache row. There are 12 feeders outdoors and 2 feeders in the greenhouse. Also 5000 flowering annuals and may be a thousand perennials and shrubs blooming at present !! Territorial nature makes it easy to count. We are noticing 3-4 birds at each feeder every 3 to 4 minutes while many nectaring around the same time. At present, Oriental Tiger Lilies and Dahlias seem to be their favorite. Monarada and Cuphea were worth fighting for just a couple of weeks ago. But now there are too many of those.
