This afternoon I saw 6 butterflies, 8 eggs, 4 caterpillars, 45 milkweed stalks. Many have divided stem/stalks and are at various stages of growth, probably due to drought/ spotty rainfall. There are both old tough and young tender leaves, seed pods and also flowers. I have not seen this before, during 28 years for this date at this location.
