Saw 8 monarch larva on 2 milkweed plants in garden. 5 larva are at least partially visible in this photo. Saw them 7/23 afternoon. The next morning only one was seen. That afternoon zero.
Each large, plump, approximately 2 inches long, probably 5th instar. I have closeup photos of several but could only submit one photo.
