We had 4 successful eclosed Monarchs on 7-10-23 from one old wild Monarch laying eggs around our yard on 6-9-23. So, these 4 males were wild but I finished them captive. At least one stayed around our yard for a couple of days (see separate photo), but at least one other wild female Monarch (see separate photo) turned up at the same time and laid eggs - because I have 2 more chrysalises right now on 7-31-23! We DO NOT usually have Monarchs until late Summer/Fall as they head South and lay 4th generation eggs in our yard.
