Monarch Waystation #271 reports sighting a hummingbird nectaring on Ironweed blossoms, then fly off, in the front bed about 6 pm. Partly cloudy skies, calm wind, temp in mid 80s with a higher heat index. No dark markings seen on throat or belly side, did not notice any white spots on tail feathers. Was a very fast glimpse as it faced me while I looked out the kitchen window facing north at the blooms outside.
